In December, 2000, Clipper Magazine made the list of 50 "Best Places to
Work in Pennsylvania" in an awards program sponsored by Marsh, an MMC
Company, and Safeguard. The company qualified for the list (in the "Large Size
Companies" category) by vote of its own employees. In the process, it
joined such nationally known honorees as Bayer, the Boeing Company,
Harley-Davidson, H. J. Heinz, Hershey Foods and Gannet Fleming.
Throughout its history, Clipper has fostered a sense of family among its
workforce. It offers a wide range of training and advancement
opportunities, and gives its workers a strong sense of security. In fact, nearly all
of its managers have been promoted from within. In addition, its turnover rate is among
the lowest in its field.
